Middle Eastern Studies Minor

Offering an academic Middle Eastern studies minor with diverse approaches to experiential learning and an ecumenical Christian perspective, North Park is the only evangelically-affiliated college or university in the United States to provide such a program.
The minor seeks to foster reconciliation among all of God’s children through experiential and firsthand learning, building relationships with students from the Middle East, creating opportunities for cross-cultural dialogue on campus and throughout the city of 芝加哥. Our students are active in the Middle Eastern Student Association which adds additional co- and extracurricular options for the whole campus.

To meet the requirements for this minor, students must complete the following:
- 20 semester hours of coursework in Middle Eastern studies, biblical and theological studies, 历史, 政治与政府
- A portfolio submitted to the program director that includes a self-assessment, reflection on their educational experiences, samples of work from their completed courses.
This minor is not a standalone program; students must complete a full undergraduate major at North Park in order to graduate from the University.
